I just wanted to make a little post to thank Rob.  He’s such a sweetie.  He’s always thinking of me.  He makes me breakfast sometimes.  He’s always buying me little things when he goes out.  And they’re really thoughtful, very me things. And he’s so selfless.  He thinks of me first, always checking to make sure I don’t need anything.  I’m so lucky.

I’m sorry Bert that I haven’t had a whole lot of time for you this summer.  Working 2 jobs is getting really tiring. You’ve been so good to me, and so patient when I’m all cranky because of too much work and too little sleep.  But, don’t worry, after labor day, we’re home free!  We should take a little mini vacation, like go camping with Greg & Dyan, whatever you want to do.  I just realized that our anniversary is on a Tuesday, our day off together! Want to go on a mini vacation that day?

I had an incident happen last week at the zoo.  I had a can of Tim Horton’s iced tea, and I picked it up off the railing of our hut and I took a drink.  I had the tea in my mouth, and felt something crawling on my tongue.  I spit it out on the floor, and there was a friggin hornet!  I ha da damned hornet in my mouth.  Could you imagine if I had just taken a big drink and swallowed it?  The hornet would have stung my esophagus all the way down.  It makes me shudder just to think about it.  I called Rob and told him about it, he was all sympathetic, but after he made sure I was ok, he said “would you be upset if I call you Buzz now?”  Only Rob. 

We finally got a Nintendo Wii.  I had tried to get Rob one last Christmas, but the demand was just so high, I wasn’t camping out at Future Shop for a week, nor was I going to pay the stupid prices for one on Ebay.  I went to Dyan and Greg’s Wednesday night and played their Wii.  That was my first time playing a Wii actually.  We have one here at work, but it’s down on the 6th floor, and I just forget it’s there.  So, I loved it.  Rob’s played Wii before, so when I picked him up Wednesday night when he was done work, we talked about Wii all the way home.  I suggested we trade in some of our old video games we don’t play anymore and put the credit we get from them at EB games towards a Wii.  Rob thought it was an excellent idea.  Then he got up the next morning and just went and bought the Wii.  He can never wait for anything. hehe.  I’m not complaining though, I so love it.  I’ve even been looking around online for games and skins for it. When a line of new consoles come out, we always buy the Nintendo one first.  Wait, last time we may have bought the X-Box before the Gamecube…but we did get a Gamecube.  And, we didn’t even look at the PSP when we got first our GBSP and then our DS lite.  Nintendo all the way!  For our Wii, Rob got Zelda, and the Wii Play game, which is a bunch of little games, and comes with another Wiimote.  We had so much fun playing those games, and the sports games that come with the console, we stayed up til 5am this morning playing!  O_O  We had a great time though, so it’s ok how tired I was when I had to get up to be at the zoo for 9:45am this morning.  hehehe  Baseball was fun, as was cow racing, and boxing was just hilarious.

This morning started out badly to begin with.  My dad calledme at 9am to ask me if I wanted to go blueberry picking.  No, that’s not the bad part, although he’s got to stop calling me so damn early!  It was damn good he did call, because my friggin alarm didn’t go off at 8:30 like it was supposed to.  So I jumped up and rushed to get out the door to get to the zoo for 9:45.  I’m crusing down the highway, and I get a flat tire.  Funny, I know.  Sure, I could have called work, since we do roadside assistance and I get free ra because of that, but I knew that dad wasn’t far away.  I knew he would be a lot faster.  He was super speedy, and arrived quickly, and had my tire changed lickety split.  I got to the zoo for 10:30.  Not too bad at all.  I had a super busy day at the zoo by myself, and I thought I had cut off the line in time for me to get out of there by 4:15, but no, I miscalculated, and I left the zoo parking lot at 4:45.  I had to barrel oot of there, because I was working at Asurion for 5, at the exact opposite end of town.  So, I fly here, and if there was ever a day I should have gotten caught for speeding, today was the day.  Nevermind I was driving on a donut!  But, I managed to get here without incident, and even logged in at 5:01.  Not too bad, if I do say so myself.  I am sitting here in my face painting clothes, with a partially painted, smudged butterfly on my cheek, but hey I’m here.  And I normally wear a sarong to the zoo, but it was so cold this morning, I wore pants instead.  *whew*

This is my first Saturday night that I’ve had to work since I started here at Asurion.  It’s not too busy.  And the center is pretty empty. I figured Saturday would be a busy work day here.  I’m still only doing roadside though, so that helps.  1 call queue instead of 2.  I’m so not ready for HP yet. I’m dreading it.  Uungh.

We went to the craft fair at Victoria Park today.  Man, was it hot out.  *whew*  I bought 2 really neat chain maille bracelets.  Chain maille (linked metal jumprings, just like the chain maille armor you see in movies.)  I bought one pink and one green bracelet.  They’re so cool. I love the patterns the links make.  They’re very nice. I may have patience for things like doll dresses and ukrainian eggs, but I don’t know if I’d have the patience for chain maille.

It’s 12:02.  Less than an hour left. ^_^

Today is my first day of my new position here at Asurion.  I’m now in Advanced Customer Care.  It’s exciting, and a little intimidating.  I miss my old team already (love you Dyan!).  I’m a little apprehensive about this new department.  It’s looking like I’m not going to get a whole lot of training for soem areas though.  Everyone here is fantastic with helping and answering my 500 questions though.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I can learn fast and do a good job. ^_^

Oh, and I think I get my own desk.  CSR’s don’t have designated desks, it’s just find an available spot when you come in.  With ACC, everyone has their own desk.  But, apparantly today the whole department is all in a upheavel, and everyone is switching seats, so today I’m a someone else’s desk.  I want my own desk.
