BLAH I SAY, BLAH!

Standard

What a blah day. It’s not very nice out, and it’s cold. I’m tired. And hungry. I could go for some mashed potatoes, but I am working, so the potatoes will just sit in the kitchen calling to me, mocking me. Damn you potatoes, damn you!!!

Work is kind of crappy today too. It seems the whole US has a direct line to me. No wait, not everyone, just the stupidest people. And since I’m cold and hungry, I’m getting pretty annoyed. I think I’ll spend my lunch banging m head against the wall. That’s only because I don’t have one of these people here to bang their head against the wall.

Maybe I’ll turn the furnace on today. I haven’t yet, because when I do, I’m admitting summer is over. I can’t do it damnit! It’ll just make me depressed.

Getting Up Early Rocks!

Standard

I was up at 8:15, after going to bed at 3. I woke up with a creative urge, so I had to go do some sewing. I used my serger the first time, and it was awesome! Except I had to thread it. That only took me half an hour, haha. I’m sure I’ll get faster with it as I use it more. It’s like friggin rocket science though. 4 threads is a little much! I did whip up a pair of fingerless gloves, upcycled from a thrifted shirt. I’m totally loving them!

RobDurdle.com – The Boss of the Fire

Standard

Rob got our new-to-us fire pit all setup tonight, and we had our first fire. It was awesome. The only issue I had was that Rob was the boss of the fire. He gave me a pokey stick, but cranked when I poked! Wtf? Why give me a pokey stick?!?!

hehehehe. Seriously though, there’s nothing better than sitting around a fire eating chinese food.

That ends day 3 of vacation. We spent the afternoon with Jemma, who is now walking! So cute! We took her to the mall for coffee, shopping, then McD’s. I think she had fun. Oh, and we also taught her how to high five. She thought that was just the funniest thing she’s ever seen.

Tomorrow we head to Halifax for a couple of days of shopping and visiting. Can’t wait! I think I’ll manage to get up early. It’s only 10:30, and I think I’m going to pass out on my keyboard any minute here. ZZZZzzzzzz….
